Can Ice Machine Use Liquor To Make Ice Cubes?

Jul. 15, 2020

Before answering "Is the ice machine able to make liquor into ice?", we should first understand the ice machine's working principle and the freezing point of liquor. It is not difficult to answer this question. Freshwater ice machine factory shares with you

The working principle of the ice machine

When the ice machine is making ice, the refrigerant is compressed by the compressor into a high-pressure gas and enters the condenser. The condenser is condensed into a liquid, which is throttled by an expansion valve, and then flows into the evaporator. After the evaporator absorbs the heat of water, it becomes low-temperature and low-pressure gas and is compressed. The machine absorbs compression, and the suction pressure gradually decreases as ice blocks form.

During the ice collection, the hot refrigerant vapor compressed by the compressor flows into the evaporator through the hot gas valve to heat the ice cubes until the ice cubes are separated from the evaporator and slide down into the ice storage room, in order to ensure an appropriate heat exchange amount and prevent refrigerant liquid shock The compressor hot gas valve must be manufactured to a certain size.

Flake Ice Maker

1. The chilled water pump of the ice machine storage tank continuously circulates through the plate or partitioned evaporator.

2. After the compressor is in operation, it is suctioned-compressed-exhausted-condensed (liquefied)-throttled-and then evaporated in the evaporator at a low temperature of -10 degrees to -18 degrees to absorb heat and gasify. The frozen water continuously condenses into ice on the surface of the lower temperature evaporator at a water temperature of 0 degrees.

By understanding the working principle of the ice machine, we can know that the lowest freezing point of the ice machine is between -10 degrees and -18 degrees.

So, let’s take a look at the minimum freezing point of liquor. At present, there are many types of liquors on the market. The flavors are sauce flavor, strong flavor, clear flavor, and other different flavors of liquor. The alcohol content of liquor is roughly divided into high (50-68 degrees) and medium (40-48 degrees)and law degrees (28-39 degrees). Liquor has different freezing points depending on the degree. For example, the freezing point of alcohol is -117 degrees, the highest freezing point. The liquor of 60 degrees is about -80 degrees, and the freezing point of liquor of 40 degrees is about -25 degrees.

According to the understanding of the working principle of the ice machine and the freezing point of white wine, it can be seen that the minimum freezing point of the ice machine at -18 degrees is much higher than the minimum freezing point of white wine above 40 degrees (freezing point to 25 degrees F). The conclusion of the question is that the ice maker cannot make liquor above 40 degrees into ice. When the flake ice maker's lowest freezing point is lower than the lowest freezing point of liquor, liquor can be made into ice.
